Kindergarten, Here I Come!

Carole Moyer's all-day kindergarten class eagerly raises their hands to answer a question after she drew a rectangle on the board at her school in Columbus, Ohio, in May, 2002. Ohio is one of 12 states that require children to attend kindergarten at least a half day. The state funds all-day programs only for districts with average or below-average poverty levels.
